Friendship Alchemy: Cracking the Code of Lifelong Connections
A lot of people say my friend, my friend. Have you ever asked yourself if your friend is truly your friend and if those you claim to love, love you too? This is an assignment for both of us, let us sit and think to rethink and make a wise decision while choosing our ships.
Okay famz, let us get started with today’s write-up on the topic What are the needed criteria for choosing a friend?
Firstly, what is the meaning of a friend: A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you -Elbert Hubbard.
In my own terms, a friend is someone you give your heart to, someone you tell all your secrets, someone who knows you from front to back. A person who is more than a stranger, more than family but a special person in your life.
Hmmm, I got so picky the day I got this meaning of friendship and rechecked everyone I call my friend, I began to select everyone into my ship selectively, I prayed about everyone I met, and God in his wonders separated me from those who aren’t for me and this approach as really helped me in selecting who I mingle with.
Friendship is a remarkable bond that enriches our lives in countless ways. The friends we choose often become an extended family, offering companionship, support, and shared experiences. But have you ever pondered over the criteria that guide you in selecting these cherished companions? The process of choosing friends is a delicate one, influenced by a multitude of factors that go beyond mere compatibility. In this article, we delve into the criteria underlying the art of choosing friends, ultimately shaping our lives.
In short, I would be taking about 7 criteria in choosing a friend which I called: GAM2EPS
Growth and Evolution
As people, we are constantly expanding and evolving. Similarly, our standards for choosing friends may change with time. When we are teenagers, the qualities we seek in friends may differ from when we are adults. Our friendships stay relevant and satisfying as long as we are open to reevaluating and changing these standards as we grow.
Acceptance of Flaws
None of us are without flaws. A crucial criterion for choosing friends is their ability to accept us for who we are, imperfections, and all. Friends who embrace our quirks and idiosyncrasies without attempting to change us foster an atmosphere of authenticity and genuine acceptance.
Mutual Respect
Respect is the foundation of any healthy relationship, and friendships are no exception. A friend who respects your boundaries, opinions, and values creates an environment of trust and harmony. Mutual respect ensures that both parties feel valued and heard in the relationship.
Emotional Investment
Friendship is a two-way street that requires emotional investment from both parties. When choosing friends, consider whether the person is willing to invest time, effort, and emotions into the relationship. A friend who is there for you in times of need and actively participates in your life enriches the bond you share.
Empathy and Understanding
Empathy and understanding are essential elements of a strong friendship. A true friend not only listens but also tries to understand your perspective and feelings. They offer a shoulder to lean on during tough times and celebrate your successes with genuine happiness. Empathy and understanding create a deep emotional connection that transcends superficial interactions.
Positive Influence
Friends have a significant impact on our lives. It’s important to surround yourself with individuals who have a positive influence. Choose friends who inspire you to become a better person, who motivate you to pursue your goals, and who uplift your spirits. A positive influence can steer your life in a more fulfilling direction.
Shared History and Memories
Shared experiences create lasting bonds. When evaluating potential friends, consider whether you have shared history and memorable moments together. These shared experiences create a strong foundation for a meaningful friendship, as they provide common ground and shared values.
In conclusion, please check your friends and determine who is for you and those that are against you. Any friendship you have that doesn’t give value to you please let it go without making any noise about it. You are enough, you are smart and you are lovely and loved. So you don’t need anyone to manage you because you are beautiful the way you are.
My lovely readers, thanks for your support each day. I love you all 🥰🥰🥰.
