For some months now, I have taken interest in studying animals, especially those I love, and found myself loving them more during the research and my studies. And today I will be discussing three out of my animal love lists with you all as per my gist partner 😀.

The very first Dog and I was hoping you would not get shocked by the next one, okay anyways the second one is Vulture 🤣 . I am just as surprised as you, finding out I like Vulture of all animals, well I like their ways of doing things and their importance in the ecosystem, which we would be looking at in today’s write-up. And lastly, the Peacock like you all know I am a proud person just playing around 🤣🤣 but you should be proud of yourself. Now down to our topic.

But wait, who won’t love this unique creature, they are one in a thousand and they are friendly, emotional, and sensitive. They know the right time to do the right thing. Did I mention they are caring also? These guys are the most cared animals in the animal Kingdom that I know of, except we want to add the Lion to the list 🤣. Oya, lovers of dogs, come and join me on this journey. There was a day I got into a discussion with a friend on this love of dogs while I was team dog of course my opponent was team cat. Guy why would you love cats like seriously 😭, I am a Nigerian, and they believe cats are diabolic due to their eyes or something but this belief doesn’t resonate with me, but there is something about cats that is scary, either their nature or just me, not into them. Please guys help me fall in love with them if possible, because currently, cats are a no-go area for me. So back to my little cuties.

I would be working us through some different breeds of Dogs

We have:

German Shepherd

At first, I do think these guys are from Germany or the breeds originated from Germany for real 🤣 and this thinking was a thing. According to American Kennel Club (AKC), the German Shepherd Dog was recognized as a breed in 1908. They are Intelligent, smart, and friendly and they are good with kids, but still be careful with them around your kids. Don’t tell me I didn’t tell ya( Taylor Swift’s Voice)

Chihuahua

These little cutties are so adorable and good-looking with their portable body type, not that tall with their rounded apple head, erect ears, and full luminous eyes.

These guys are my best, they are so adorable and a cutie pie 🥰. Having them is like adding joy to joy 🤗, and kindly note they need care and they are good with kids. So you having kids doesn’t stop you from getting one of these cuties.

Enough of the stories that touch the heart, so I will be putting a full stop to the breeds of dogs and let us talk about the importance of having at least one.

Importance of Dog in the Home

You won’t believe it if I tell you that dogs reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health. Caring for an animal can help children grow up more secure and active. Dogs also provide valuable companionship for older adults. I’m not sure you are a lover of Indian movies. My very first Indian movie was Mard or Mad I’m not even sure which is the correct spelling again but the dog in the movie was so smart and Intelligent and I would say this was the beginning of my falling in love with these cute creatures, Dogs.

The next on the agenda is Vulture

I really can’t count the number of documentaries I’ve seen on Vultures not to talk about Youtube videos. These sets of wild animals are unique and one of a kind. With studies, some of the species of virtues are already going into extinction but all the same, we need Vultures to keep things going in the ecosystem. These animals aren’t deadly according to history, we don’t see them around because they can only be seen where there are dead bodies and you know the important fact is that these creatures help and saves us from diseases of any form because when there are dead bodies they feed on them and they decomposed it within themselves. Some animals died of one illness or another. The Vultures prevent the decayed body of dead animals to be washed into water bodies or decaying into the soil and in one way or another getting to the community of people. Did I mention they are Scavengers?

I know you are not still clear on why we need Vulture to keep the ecosystem in balance. Oya, let us see some importance of Vultures in the Ecosystem:

Vultures effectively remove pathogens and toxins in the environment because they rapidly consume carrion before it decays, and their stomachs contain an incredibly potent acid that destroys many of the harmful substances found in dead animals.

Different Types of Vultures

Just like how human beings have a hierarchy so do animal kingdoms and Vultures do also. When it comes to feeding there are a set of vultures that first get to the food and await the strong vultures, these guys have a strong peek that tears through the skin of the food so the vultures start to feed on the softer tissues of the skin. I won’t be going deep into details because I want you to join me in learning more about them 🤗.

Okay, now to the last but not least, Peacock

This is like a new gem for me, I still have like little info about them and I would share the little and then dig in for more information. If you have any material that can help out, I will be in the comment area, waiting for you. Thanks in advance 🤗.

img: male peacock

Peacocks are known to be proud but this is half wrong and half correct, why I say it is wrong is because we do forget that human beings likewise animals are in twos both male and female. So the male peacocks are the ones we see that spread their flings and it is always looking beautiful. Let me shock you this is just approaching to entice female peacocks(peahens).

I would be leaving us with we have wonderful things around us, let us take some time off to study our environment which will help us in our decision-making and how to save the ecosystem. A take-home question, which animal would you keep if you have the chance to select just one, mine would be a dog. What about you?

Thanks for learning with me and a big thanks for reading today’s write-up. There is still more to learn, can’t wait to see you at the same venue but not at the same time 😁.
